Message	either on the first trip out. He told me he wasn't just going to let every person that called drive it, and I agreed with his point. He said that if I proved to him that I was very serious, then he would let me. He did, however, drive it with me in it to show that it ran good. Then the next time I drove 1/2 hour to get to where he lived, he let me drive it... and damn =) So maybe just make sure he knows you're not dicking him around and keep trying to let him let you drive it. There should be no reason not too if you've made a substantial amount of effort to buy it, unless there is something mechanically wrong with it.
